CLif-Notes: Solomon Kane

I finally got my hands on a copy of 2009's Solomon Kane based on the character created by Robert E. Howard. Movie Solomon tells the story of Solomon Kane on his path to redemption. After learning his soul has been damned to Hell, he vows to never raise another hand in violence. However, that vow must be broken after he promises to save the daughter of a family that helped rescue and take care of him.
This movie was pretty cool. It's been making the film festival rounds for a little over two years and no idea when a dvd release will be out. It's another one that wasn't brilliant but was just cool and fun. The swordplay was pretty awesome at points but will probably get a pg-13 rating at some point so it had some parts that were dumbed down and could have been cooler but I still liked it. Pete Postelthwaite may be the biggest name in the movie. Solomon Kane is played by the one dude from the first Resident Evil movie (look it up) but the lack of names shouldn't stop you from checking out this movie. It's worth the watch.
